In order to provide both basic scientific and technical education, human training and specialised education, ENSTA Paris has a permanent faculty and also calls upon temporary teaching staff.
The permanent faculty counts 87 teacher-researchers (53 of whom have a HDR [accreditation to supervise research]) belonging to the School's laboratories. ENSTA Paris also relies on around 700 external contributors who come from businesses, universities and major institutes, senior civil servants, and also scientists.
Education and research
Proximity to research is an essential feature of education at ENSTA Paris. The laboratories play an essential role in the construction of education.
Whether they intend to pursue it in the future or not, it is essential for an Advanced Techniques engineer to have direct and significant contact with the world of research and development during their studies, and that they understand the functioning, peculiarities and links with other sectors of the economy.
