Research at ENSTA Paris is structured around seven major themes: autonomous system design, optimisation and data science, procedures and materials for energy, durability of materials, components, and structures, waves and vibrations, physics of ultra-short laser plasma, imaging and non-destructive testing.

ENSTA Paris has six laboratories which conduct applied research in close collaboration with the industry. The topics covered are very varied and reflect the offered specialisation streams.
