SPEIT was jointly created in 2012 by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, three schools of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris and Télécom Paris) and Mines Paris.
ENSTA Paris leads, for the French part, this Franco-Chinese cooperation.
SPEIT is based on a training program that follows the French model of engineering training (preparatory classes and engineering cycle) to train young scientific, trilingual and multicultural engineers. Today, more than 500 students study engineering the French way at SPEIT.
Elisabeth Crépon, Director General of ENSTA Paris and Vice President of the Board of Directors of SPEIT, gave a speech on the occasion of this 10th anniversary and also spoke about the international accreditation of engineering programs during the Sino-French Education Forum.
A delegation of members of the 3 schools of IP Paris came for this 10th anniversary, the opportunity to visit Tsinghua University and Beijing University and to meet their Chinese counterparts and Alumni.
