On october 6-8, ENSTA ParisTech will held a international colloquium of mechanics.
The main purpose of the conference is to present new ideas in the modeling of materials and structures. The topics include up-to-date achievements in the modeling of materials and structures under thermo-mechanical loading :
- Constitutive modeling and thermodynamics
- Multi-scale and multi-field modeling
- Non-smooth modeling in statics and dynamics
- Gradient models in plasticity and viscoplasticity
- Phase change, shape memory alloys
- Fatigue, damage and fracture
- Instability and bifurcation
- Experimental analysis in thermo-mechanics
- Thermo-mechanical analysis in structural engineering
- Structural optimization.
The colloquium includes four plenary lectures and a two-day technical program (oral presentations and posters). The invited plenary lecturers are:
- S. S. Antman, University of Maryland, USA
- J-B. Leblond, Université Paris 6, France
- Q.P. Sun, HKUST, Hong Kong
- J.R. Willis, Cambridge University, UK
In particular, a special session is co-organized with the Laboratoire Lagrange honoring the scientific works of Michel Frémond.
