IP Paris among the most powerful universities in the world

The Institut Polytechnique de Paris, of which ENSTA Paris is a founding member, has just moved up 55 places to the top 80 in terms of academic reputation in the Times Higher Education Rankings 2022.

This increase in academic reputation confirms the excellent results already obtained in physics (26th in the world and 2nd in France) and computer science (46th in the world and 2nd in France) in the same ranking.

For Benoit Deveaud, interim provost of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, "We are very proud of this progression in THE Reputation Rankings 2022, which is remarkable for such a young institution. We are indeed entering our fourth year of existence as the Institut Polytechnique de Paris and this ranking truly illustrates the efforts of the entire IP Paris community through our 5 founding schools to excel in science and technology. Our faculty and researchers ensure that students are trained at the cutting edge of scientific knowledge. We will continue to advance our teaching and research levels and develop our international collaborations to reach greater heights in the years to come."

The 2022 ranking is based on a survey conducted between November 2021 and February 2022. It received a total of 29,606 responses from 159 countries. The survey protocol was to ask academics to name up to 15 universities that they felt were the best in research and teaching in their field.
